The Concept.
The general idea behind this is that every person draws an imaginary circle around themselves and their lives. Inside that circle is everything that each person holds dear. It may contain the people in your life, such as yourself, your family, your friends, and current, past, and future romantic partners. It may contain your most prized possessions, causes that you champion, and many other things.
As you grow and change that circle will become larger and smaller over time. This comes from situations of personal growth, loss, heartache, changes in the environment, values, and much, much more.
The most important idea here is that we learn to accept what our resources are, what our inhibitions are, what we can give, and what support we are willing to take. We need to learn how to change the things we can and accept we cannot. It's important to know how to let people in, and if the time comes, learn to accept it when they leave. This is a struggle that does not always come easily. From grief to breakups, miscommunication, and circumstances beyond your control, we make choices every day that can change our lives in an instant.
Eventually, I hope that I am able to better control the size of my circle, grow my community and that I could help others to do the same. This is meant to be a place for my story. A work-in-progress of sorts. Hopefully some good will come of it, and the world will be better for it.
